OUT OF THE ORDINARY

African experiences are as varied as the enormous continent itself. With limitless opportunities for adventure, our special interest safaris can be tailored to suit you. From diving with sharks in South Africa, to trekking the crater of an active volcano in Tanzania, we can build an itinerary for you.

Whatever your interests, be it fishing for the world’s greatest freshwater fighting fish or walking with camels on safari in Kenya, we guarantee excitement and unforgettable off-the-beaten-track experiences for ‘explorers’ of all ages.

From biking to birding or walking to painting, we can arrange individual or group tours to encompass as much or as little as you would like on the continent.

In addition to our passion for Africa’s wild areas we are photography enthusiasts and can recommend tailored photographic safaris or private photography tuition on your safari.

Special Interest Destinations

Kenya Camel Walking Safari

Camels have become an integral part of a safari now in many areas of Kenya as they are well suited to the terrain and climate and offer yet another fun and interesting way of seeing and experiencing the great African bush. As you walk by their side, the camels carry all you need for a few days away. You will be guided by elegant, colourful Samburu warriors away from the camp and into places where vehicles do not venture. It is also possible to climb on board and ride the camels for an afternoon's activity and a totally different viewpoint on Africa from on high.

Ethiopia Festivals

Religion plays such an important role in the Ethiopian society. Festivals and ceremonies provide many high points in the calendar; only the Ethiopian Orthodox Church celebrates not less than 150 festivities per year. The various ethnic groups have their own new year’s and other festivals and ceremonies, some unique to that culture while others are common to many.

Tanzania Ol Doinyo Lengai Volcano Climb

Climbing the Ol Doinyo Lengai Volcano under moonlight is an unforgettable and mystical experience. This is one of the most challenging 1 day climbs in East Africa. This trek is not for the faint hearted but worth it for the un-paralleled views from the top at sunrise. On a clear day you can expect to see the tips of Meru and Kilimanjaro pierce through the horizon to the east.
