We are very excited to announce that Douglas Rattray, son of the late David Rattray, will be giving a talk on the battle of Isandlwana in London in June this year. In this talk, Douglas explains the battle of Isandlwana from both sides: English and Zulu. He highlights the courage of desperate soldiers, and the gallantry of the proud warriors. Our Eurocentric understanding of this titanic clash has, for years, been that of a British blunder. It is high time that we consider this struggle for what it really was: a great Zulu victory.
