The Ultimate Tanzanian Beach Retreat

May 07 2015

Nestled on the Swahili coastline, Kijongo Bay is located on Sange Long Beach situated to the south of Pangani and north of Saadani National Park. This secluded beach lies on a largely undeveloped stretch of 800km untouched coastline of Tanzania.

Kijongo has 7 spacious, 2 storey villas that are inspired by the elegant yet simple design of Swahili architecture. They are all facing the glorious Indian Ocean offering beautiful views. There is also the exclusive Boma house which is ideal for families and offers a private chef or self catering facilities.

Kijongo offers a host of child friendly activities away from the relaxing grounds of the lodge. For a couple of hours, accompanied by experienced, expert guides, children can embark on an adventure tour and explore the mangrove forest, its animals and plants.

Boat trips are also available to explore the beautiful reefs of Maziwe Island, a natural reserve located in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The island offers some of the best marine life on the East African coast.
