We are sad to leave, especially as each delicious meal is better than the last, but leave we must. We drive to Cape Town, where terrible fires have been raging in places we drove and admired only a few days ago. The city bowl has been saved by the barrier of Table Mountain but on the other side of the mountain it has been totally ravaged, destroying houses, animals and precious natural habitat. It's still not under control, still decimating people's homes and lives.
Michael , Gina and Robert fly home tonight whilst I stay on to do site visits in Cape Town and then fly to Botswana to go on a riding Safari.
