Since the beginning of this year, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has been investigating the crisis facing Africa’s elephants for a documentary series for the BBC.
The story is grim at times - with over 80 elephants a day being killed In Africa for their ivory. But Hugh discovered that there is hope too - that the tide might be finally turning in Asia on the demand for ivory that is driving this cruel trade. And, as he was surprised to find out, it turns out that we in the UK are also part of the problem of the ivory trade. And that gives us a brilliant chance to be part of the solution. #HughAndTheIvoryWar.
